For multimode insertion loss measurements it is recommended that a mandrel wrap is intorduced into the launch cables in order the attenate caldding and hiher order modes to arrive at a standardized launc condition. The HPR cables have a referfence end that is manufacturerd to very tight specifications.
The HP cable is available in all populer connector configurations. The mandrel that is supplied with the kit allows for stable and secure mandrel wrap.
