The
OP508 was specifically designed for
applications where cost-effective
solutions for measuring, monitoring and
logging of insertion loss or power
fluctuations are needed. The OP508 is a
small (4"x2"x1.25") desk-friendly
module designed such that minimal movement
and bending of the reference and test cables
is necessary. This results in stable,
accurate and repeatable measurements.
Model OP508-IN-FC InGaAs Detector with fixed FC/PC Interface
High precision fiber optic
power measurements
Extended optical power measurement
range, depending on the
selected detector
+10dBm..-80dBm for InGaAs
detector, +6dBm..-45dBm
for Silicon detector.
Wide
wavelength range 840nm ...1700nm(InGaAs) or 580nm ... 1080nm (Silicon)
Tight
linearity specifications: +/- 0.02dB
Great
measurement resolution of 0.001 dB
fixed FC, SC or ST interface
Integrated ambient
temperature tracking
The
OP508 measures the ambient temperature
in either Celsius or Fahrenheit over the
entire temperature range of the
instrument with a 0.1ºC resolution. This
unique feature eliminate the need for
external temperature tracking during
long term stability measurements.
USB Data and Power Interface
The
OP508 is powered by the USB bus, it
connects to any computer with a USB 1.1
or later interface.
User
friendly applications allow the user to
perform common measurement tasks such as
EXCEL logging of power
levels or time stamped stability
measurements including the tracking of
ambient temperature.
