Insertion Loss (IL) on duplex optical cables are measured fast and accurately with the OP815D. The insertion loss is measured by utilizing the built in stabilized laser source fro SM operation or the dual LED with launch controlled conditions. The dual channel optical power meter can be equipped with all the common adapters (FC, SC, ST, E2000, LC and MU) as well as the duplex adapters for duplex LC, MT-RJ, duplex MU.

Like other OptoTest equipment the OP815D supports the USB interface. The OPL-PRO or OPL-Max turnkey application software fully integrates this instrument into the data acquisition process of the high efficient production line.
