OP710

Multichannel Optic Power Meter

 
  We specifically designed the OP710 for measurement tasks where optical power levels of multiple fibers have to be captured simultaneously. Making no compromises, we focused on implementing a solid power meter for each channel that communicates at high data rates with a USB capable communications processor that controls the data acquisition the user interface, and interacts with a Windows workstation. The result: a power meter that operates on 24 channels at once

OP500

Series Fiber Optic Power Meter

 
 

The OP500 series are the first USB optical power meters for the fiber optics industry. These small modules contain what usually is found in state-of-the-art GPIB operated fiber optic power meters. By eliminating bulky GPIB connectors, AC powered supplies and heat dissipating electronics OptoTest implemented a precision optical power meter at a fraction of the cost and in a much smaller space.

All the OP500 models are based on the same basic fundamental building blocks: the refined optical power meter circuit, the ultra low power RISC processors and the USB 1.1 compatible power and data interface. The built in flexibility allows various detector types and multiple channels.

 
 

OP508

USB Fiber Optic Power Sensor

 
 

The OP508 was specifically designed for applications where cost-effective solutions for measuring, monitoring and logging of insertion loss or power fluctuations are needed. The OP508 is a small (4"x2"x1.25") desk-friendly module designed such that minimal movement and bending of the reference and test cables is necessary. This results in stable, accurate and  repeatable measurements.

The OP508 is offered with either InGaAs or Silicon detector and fixed optical interface for FC, SC or ST. (other detector options and interface options upon request)

OP510

USB Optical Power Meter with Bar Graph

 
  The OP510 is a high precision optical power meter module powered by the USB. The 16 position dual-color bar graph indicates the power level being measured. In relative mode the bar graph quickly shows the level of loss with a selectable resolution of up to 0.1dB. Various detector options and optical interfaces are available including the 5/8" adapter system. In addition the OP510 offers all the features of the OP508.

OPL5

 Power Meter Application

 
  This W98/2k/XP compatible application connects to the OP508 and OP510 modules via USB. All basic optical power meter functions are implemented in addition to some unique features such as data logging, data storage and temperature measurement into a spreadsheet.

The OPL5 is free with the purchase of any OP500 modules. The professional version OPL5-Pro offers extended data logging, graphing features and a Component Test Solution.

  The OP250 is a configurable stabilized light source with a variety of Lasers and LEDs. Available in a single port or dual port configuration, selectable wavelengths, and various power levels and industry standard optical interfaces this instrument offers all the features and functions necessary for the development, testing and inspecting of optical components and cables.

High Performance Reference Cables

 
  For measuring insertion loss and return loss accurately and repeatedly the reference connector needs to outperform the connector under test. Reference cables from OptoTest are manufactured and certified to an appropriate high standard meeting and exceeding FOTP171A (A2.2.1).
