Performance Reference Cables

To accurately and repeatedly measure insertion loss and return loss the reference connector needs to outperform the connector under test. Reference cables from OptoTest are manufactured and certified to the necessary high standard exceeding FOTP171A (A2.2.1).

The HPR series of reference cables are offered with connectors for FC, SC, ST and LC and PC (UPC) or APC polish. The reference-end is certified and exceeds the requirements of FOTP171A (A2.2.1). The source-end meets the standards requirements for PC or APC polish. It is not necessary for the source-end to have the same connector style as the reference end, hybrid cables are available as well.
