As part of the services to
our customers operating legacy systems OptoTest supports the RIFOCS
600 series & 700 series modular systems as well as the bench top line of
fiber optic test instrumentation.
Service and Calibration
For most modules and bench
top models OptoTest has the means to diagnose the functions and if
necessary calibrating the instruments. Most often repolishing the UCI
interfaces restores the original performance of the units. We also work
directly with the factory.
Reconfiguration and Upgrades
Since we were
very intimate involved in the design of the RIFOCS modular system and have a
vast knowledge about the various applications we are very confident that we
can assist in reconfiguring or upgrading your system.
Reconfiguring test system,
adding modules or splitting systems.
With the wide selection of
surplus test equipment available measurement solutions can be implemented at
a fraction of the cost compared to a few years ago. We like to assist you in
taking advantage of this window of opportunity.
Send us an email at
engineering@optotest.com and briefly explain how we can help you. Please
do not forget to list the part numbers of the current module configuration
and if applicable the software revisions of thefiberWORKS
applications.
RIFOCS Corporation’s modular fiber optic
test and measurement equipment enables customers to design
application-specific stems ranging from simple single-channel units to large
multi-channel test systems. These modular test systems have found numerous
uses in fiber optics qualification laboratories and manufacturing facilities
around the world. All RIFOCS modular test equipment is GPIB/IEEE-488
compliant, permitting the automation of measurement tasks in a production
environment, which streamlines the testing and qualification of fiber optic
components and assemblies. RIFOCS Corporation pioneered the design and manufacture of Optical
Reflection Discrimination (ORD) instruments for measuring return loss in
single-mode and multimode systems, and also manufactures modular instruments
such as discontinuity meters, optical power meters, LED and laser sources,
optical switches, and nearfield/farfield scanners. Complete systems,
including units for one-way and bi-directional return loss and insertion
loss testing, environmental testing, and launch condition analysis, are
available.
